Welcome to La Salvagie.  Hosts Janet and Trevor Joyner welcome guests to their restored 13th century farmhouse peacefully situated on the edge of the Bessede forest a short distance from the Dordogne river.

Only minutes away from local amenities in Siorac-en-Perigord and Le Buisson, the Medieval villages of Urval and Cadouin and the hilltop bastide of Belvès.

Time can be spent in this area visiting many prehistoric sites, medieval villages, chateaux, and wine caves.  Spend days cycling, hiking, playing tennis, playing golf, horseback riding, swimming and canoeing in the Dordogne river, or simply relaxing by the swimming pool overlooking the forest.

Breakfast is served on the covered terrace overlooking the garden.

Lunch and evening meals can be enjoyed at the many local restaurants where traditional perigourdine dishes should be sampled, ie. foie gras, truffles, and confit de canard!

For more relaxed meals, guests are welcome to use the barbecue and picnic facilities.

The summer "Marchés Nocturnaux", or Night Markets, allow visitors to mingle with the locals, and provide another alternative to restaurant dining.
